Stearic Acid is used as an accessory fuel with potential to act as a flame deoxidizer. It is also used as a lubricant and polishing agent in the manufacture of pigment-grade flake aluminum powder. 

It is a colorless, wax-like solid, white or yellowish as a powder with a slight odor that resembles wax candles.
