Magnesium Turnings, Machine Chips

Magnesium turnings, magnesium chips, and grindings. These are very coarse, and pretty thin pieces of AM60 magnesium alloy (about 93% magnesium, 6% aluminum, with small amounts of silicon, manganese, and zinc). 

They make very bright, white flashes when used in shells, mines, comets, and other aerial devices. 

Highly flammable, but because they are so coarse, considered non-hazardous for shipping.
